Description
A very special original, ornate and large, Chippendale style mirror in superb condition. Described as "a masterpiece not a mantelpiece", this rare mirror comes with a great provenance. Its unusually large size makes it look great as a stand alone, standout piece, or equally fabulous with your other antiques or in combination with a contemporary setting. Chippendale Rococo style, elaborately carved featuring garlands of flowers, foliage and scrollwork above a pear shaped frame, flanked by Ho Ho birds and squirrels. Beautiful original water gilded surface and original mirror plates. Minor repairs to some extremities. England h: 254 cm. w: 130 cm
