Welcome to our New Acquisitions list for August 2017.

The many highlights include an archive of ephemeral publications relating to the first phase of the Futurist movement, 1910-13; a manuscript journal kept by an English immigrant in Port Phillip and Sydney, 1848-51; a French pocket globe by Lebeque (1870); a convict broadside ballad, Van Diemen’s Land (c.1830); a John Skinner Prout watercolour depicting a view in the Blue Mountains (1847); a copy of Eagle Gulch, a rare fictional work set on the Darling Downs goldfields (1883); and a leaf from William Caxton’s Polychronicon (1482). You will also find a number of important books, manuscripts and photographs still available from our recent catalogue for the Melbourne Rare Book Fair, including Robert FitzRoy’s own copy of the Narrative of the Beagle expedition.

Happy browsing!
