A Khmer Lopburi-style bronze figure of buddha Shakyamuni.
Standing in samapada with his hands in abhayamudra, clothed in diaphanous uttarasanga and antaravasaka with a heavily jewelled belt and necklace. His downcast expression flanked by elongated earlobes beneath a conical ushnisha. He has an ūrṇā of enlightenment.
Cambodia or Thailand, 13th/14th century.
Ht. 20.5 cm including integral repaired rectangular platform.
Heavily patinated with some malachite and red incrustation.
