Fine 19th century English bureau plat, the leather top set into a satinwood string inlaid walnut border with moulded edge stippled and carved at the corners in the form of acanthus leaves supported on a figured walnut serpentine frieze housing three shaped drawers with ormolu handles and a pair of adjustable leathered slides raised on four cabriole legs terminating in unusual carved feet. Price includes cleaning and re-polishing. New leather desktop can be supplied – please enquire for quote.
