Description
A fabulous piece of hand painted Gouda pottery, purchased by the family of the previous owner in 1928. This superb Gouda Vase came from the Schoonhoven Keramiek works a firm that is still in existence today. The vase itself is in a design called Aida, it has a pair of handles applied to its shoulders . Condition: perfect with no damage, cracks ,rubs, chips or repairs. It measures 110 mm tall and has a base diameter of 60 mm. The base is signed underglaze “239 Aida Schoonhoven Holland” and has a decorators initial which my research has lead me to think that it is possibly J. Edeling. An exceptional piece with an interesting history.
