Description

superb Jugendstil copper and brass candle stick by the famous C.D.E Werks of Carl Deffner of Esslingen, Germany. The base, handle and drip tray are constructed of copper and the upright candle holder is in brass. The square base has a pierced design of holes on all four sides with a distintive concave curved handle that slots into the drip tray. The four candle uprights have a ball inset and are square at the top. Measuring 16.5 cm tall x just over 6.5 cm across the base, which has the impress mark of a shield with crossed swords & CDE inbetween.
