Five imperial dragons on a trellised field with a delicate blossom border. The central medallion and corner spandrels on a metal thread background. Silk pile is predominantly yellow and blue, with selvedges and flat woven ends in pink silk.
Provenance: Collected by Joaquim Eulalio do Nasciento e Silva, whilst ambassador to Chongqing from May 1944 to August 1946, where he was accredited to Chiang Kai-shek in June, 1944.
