Sell Antiques with Confidence
When you sell your antiques to an AAADA member, you will receive the agreed price immediately. If you were selling at auction, you will wait a number of weeks for payment. Following the sale, additional charges, which can total up to 30% of the hammer price, are deducted. AAADA dealers are able to provide comprehensive advice on the sale of your antiques, helping you realise the best price available for your treasures.
The AAADA on behalf of its members, contributes to important decisions made at government level. Through its membership of C.I.N.O.A., the International trade Association, it takes part in decisions of international environmental and heritage importance. These decisions can also affect your rights and ability to continue to enjoy collecting antiques for private use.
If there is a dispute between members of the public and a AAADA member, the AAADA Conciliation Service, will provide prompt and informal conciliation. Where the customer and the member are not able to resolve their dispute and the item has been mistakenly described, the dealer would be required to take it back and refund the purchase price.
