in original dark oak varnished frame, within mount.
One of the celebrated photographs taken by Ponting on Scott’s doomed expedition
to the Antarctic between 1910 and 1913. This rare example was selected by the photographer for
inclusion in the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition of 1925-26 held at Dunedin.
