A completely magic original 1920s genuine Art Deco one of a kind handmade old cut diamond and solid 18K white gold bracelet from France. This French masterpiece is one of those pieces which the word "magic" can best describe. An heirloom quality one of a kind jewel this piece was made by hand. The work to do this would represent easily well over 120 hours of manual labor of a skilled jeweler without the setting of the diamonds. The work is amazingly precise and could not be replicated today. It has an amazingly tangible old world luxury, romance and charm about it which shines. In total there are 13.5 carats of old European cut diamonds set in this bracelet. They range from VS/I and from F/N. Each earth mined sparkly old cut diamond has been hand set by a master diamond setter. Of course this bracelet is all about the romance of the period, the history, the workmanship and the fact that this is not a CAD cast modern copy but a genuine one of a kind original 1920s bracelet. Trying to find anything handmade of this quality of the period like this in the next ten years would be in short extremely unlikely. It is honestly beyond rare. The sparkle is astonishing. I love the fan motif used throughout each handmade link. There was enormous interest in Japan around the 1920s which sparked new Fashions and made an impact on tastes of the elite and wealthy of the Deco period. This bracelet designed and made in France at this time clearly shows this taste for Oriental and specifically Japanese motifs of the period. There is a scintillation, sparkle, glitter and excitement in this piece. It shines. You feel inspired just looking at it. It feels luxurious to hold and on the wrist you feel like a queen...I didn't want to take it off after the photographs. On the hand made box clasp is a French makers mark and an Eagle Head mark for 750 gold or 18K white gold. There is a safety chain added later which is solid 14K white gold. The clasp secures very tightly and also has a figure eight clasp to one side. These features are definitely required for such an incredibly rare and valuable antique bracelet. You feel safe wearing it, there is so much care taken in the security design features. It is in stunning ready to wear condition. This aristocratic jewel measures 7 1/8" long and sits 5/8" wide on the wrist (181.5mm x 16.5mm). What a beautiful heirloom! Full appraisal documents accompany this breathtaking antique bracelet.
