Description
A pair of very decorative tall, two fold screens, hand painted in tole - peinte, on silk of exotic birds in Chinese landscapes, after the manner of Chinese export wallpaper panels. Acquired from Colefax & Fowler, Chelsea Antiques Fair London, c. 1970. Height 280 cm, each panel (x4) 92 cm. They are very flexible, forming one continuous screen or a pair of corners, or a pair of separate screens. Some minor losses to edges of paint
