English George I baluster wine glass c1720-25. Bell bowl with solid base, atop a baluster stem comprising a good sized medial knop, a common ‘tear’ joined by a thin strand of air from the solid base of the bowl to the knop. A good domed foot with rough pontil. No chips, cracks or evidence of restoration. In perfectly original condition. A few seeds evident. One quite noticeable in the bowl next to three small air bubbles, the lower of which is open to the inner bowl. Other than these small production issues this is a well made and heavy glass from quite an early date. Ht: 6 ¼” Rim: 2 ¾”+ Ft: 2 7/8”
