A PAIR OF 18TH CENTURY LOUIS XV PROVINCIAL FAUTEUILS A LA REINE. CIRCA. 1745. The Walnut armchairs, each with ribbon-carved frames, padded cartouche-shaped back, with a centrally carved rococo shell and leafy spay motif, scrolling arms and shaped seat covered in gold silk velvet upholstery, over a molded serpentine seatrail centrally carved with rococo shell motif and leafy sprays, on cabriole legs headed by a carved rococo shell and pendant leaves. Provençial works of the 18th century, Southern France. Circa 1745 Hauteur: 92 cm Largeur: 67 cm.
