Description

This divine platinum vivid blue sapphire and old cushion cut diamond ring is a custom made piece dating to the 1920s. It is entirely hand made right down the the sapphires which have been cut specifically just to fit this setting. The sapphires are all perfectly matched and vivid blue. They are the most lovely contrast to the exceptionally fine white diamonds set in the ring. The platinum setting is divine with hand made scrolled details which can be seen from the side of the ring. An early 1920s ring whilst it is quite geometric it's clean curves are also sensuous. In total it weighs 5.4 grams. The luxurious set diamonds and sapphires are as follows: • One old cushion cut diamond SI1 J/K/L 1.36 carats • One old cushion cut diamond VS1 J/K/L 0.72 carats • One old cushion cut diamond VS1 J/K/L 0.84 carats • 20 old cut diamonds VS/SI G/H/I with a combined weight of 0.32 carats • 38 calibre cut vivid ceylon blue natural sapphires perfectly matched for color. The Total Carat Weight of Diamonds is 3.24 carats
The Total Carat Weight of gorgeous Blue Sapphires is 0.76 carats The Total Carat Weight of Fine Diamonds and Precious Sapphires is 4.00 carats It measures 1/2 long down the finger. This beautiful ring is in excellent condition. Currently it is a ring size 6 1/2 to 6 5/8 USA sizing. An appraisal shall accompany this item.
