Description

An astonishing natural gem ruby and fine sparkly earth mined white diamond cocktail, engagement or anniversary ring in the shape of a swan and crafted in solid 18K gold. This ring is a spectacular piece and was commissioned as a custom design in the 1980s. It is currently a size 6 1/2 US. It can be resized. In total it weighs 12.35 grams. Underneath the ring is is marked clearly "750" for 18K gold. The swan itself measures approximately 1 1/16" long by 7/8" wide (27mm x 22mm) with the ring rising 3/8" high off the finger (9mm). It is set with a gorgeous natural red cabochon ruby and the swan has a ruby necklet and a bright red ruby eye. The swans feathers sparkle from every which angle and are covered with gorgeous natural white diamonds. Set gems are as follows:
A cabochon ruby measuring 6.7mm x 5.2mm x 3.2mm and weighing 1.2 carats.
One round brilliant cut ruby as the swan's eye measuring 2.2mm and weighing 5 points
Three square cut rubies measuring 2.5mm by 2.5mm and weighing 10 points each The total ruby weight is 1.55 carats. There are 1.43 carats of diamonds of F color VS clarity which range in diameter from 1.3mm to 2.1mm. The total ruby and diamond weight is 2.98 carats.
