An astonishing hand made Georgian solid 15K yellow gold and fine emerald brooch. This
beautiful piece dating to the 1830s is in exceptional condition. The
fine earth mined emeralds are each foil backed and are of exceptional
quality. These beautiful precious gems are all contemporary to the
setting. The gold itself has a stunning bloomed quality which is
luxurious and warm. In total there are 7 perfectly matched
natural emeralds set in this luxurious pin. The total carat weight of
these precious stones is 2.38 carats. The pin measures 1 9/16" in diameter an is 13/16" deep (40mm x 20mm). It weighs 13.39 grams. On the reverse there is a small loop that would allow a bale to be added to it can be worn as a pendant if so desired. This is an opulent one of a kind brooch which you will not see again for sale. It
is rare today to obtain original Georgian jewels, it is an heirloom
quality piece. This piece is a genuine handmade Georgian period jewel
and not some modern 'Georgian 'style' reproduction. This rare
brooch has been examined by a specialist antique jewelry appraiser and
gemologist. Included is the appraisal certificate.
