An exquisite pair of original high art deco one of a kind fine earth mined aquamarine and diamond solid 14K yellow gold large earrings. These exquisite earrings are a unique pair dating to the 1940s at the end of the art deco period. They are set with the most beautifully cut stunning santa maria aquamarines which are a beautiful vivid color and sparkly fine round brilliant cut white diamonds. I love the unique shield cuts of the aquamarines which are perfectly matched in color between the pair. They are amazingly rare gems to obtain today in this exquisite color, size and clarity. The pair are loupe clean. In total the earrings weigh 12.87 grams. They are a comfortable pair to wear as they have lovely omega back fittings that sit beautifully on your ears spreading the weight of the earrings across your ear lobes for all day wear. Each pretty earring measures 15/16" long by 13/16" wide (24mm by 21mm). The elegant curves and set diamonds give these a pretty look despite their statement dramatic proportions. There are 10 round brilliant cut diamonds set in the pair excellent cut VS F each claw set and measuring 2.9mm on average in diameter. This makes an approximate total diamond weight for the pair of fine antique earrings 1.11 carats. The diamonds are all perfectly matched for color and clarity. Clearly they have been carefully selected just to make this beautiful pair of earrings. These fine gems are of course hand set by a master setter. In addition to the exquisite fine white diamonds are the two exquisite gem aquamarines. These measure respectively 10.85mm by 11.22mm by 7.56mm and 10.99mm x 10.84mm x 7.36mm. They weigh approximately 6.13 carats and 5.82 carats approximately. This makes the total fine earth mined santa maria aquamarine weight to be 11.95 carats. In total the fine white diamond weight is 1.11 carats. The total precious gem weight of the fine diamonds and stunning aquamarines is 13.06 carats as estimated in the setting. It is rare to obtain aquamarine in this color let alone to obtain a matching pair of santa maria aquamarines for earrings. They truly are amazing quality. The sensual earrings have completely hand made faces. The fittings are cast and assembled. They are a mirror image pair and beautifully frame the face. We would estimate at least 12 hours skilled work went into making this unique pair of earrings. To me these earrings remind me of a bouquet of flowers. I just love their elegance and luxury.
