An amazing vintage custom made ring depicting male lion who holds a large champagne diamond under one paw and a sparkling white diamond in his mouth. The lions eyes are each set with lovely earth mined white diamonds and he is hand crafted from solid 14K gold. This ring is a totally unique piece. It was made from first carving a section of wax used for a one off cast. The details the artist has included right down to the texture of the shank of the ring which looks like bark are just gorgeous. One leg of the lion extends down the side of the ring and around the shank like he is climbing. It is unmarked but has been tested by our appraiser and we guarantee solid 14K yellow gold. In total this luxurious ring weighs 16.6 grams. The top of the ring rises 7/16" high at the top of the lions head and it sits 1/2" wide along the finger (11mm, 12mm). Currently it is a size 9 1/2 USA sizing. The gorgeous earth mined natural diamonds in this stunning hand crafted ring are as follows:
* a VS clarity fancy champagne colored untreated natural diamond measuring 5.28mm in diameter and weighing 0.56 carats this beautiful rare gem is claw set excellent cut
* a G color end set round brilliant cut SI clarity diamond with a diameter of 2.5 mm weighing 6 points
* 2 grain set round brilliant cut diamonds SI G each measuring 1.35mm in diameter and weighing 1 point each This makes the total fine diamond weight in this ring 0.64 carats. It is in mint condition. The lion in this ring looks so noble and certainly the diamond he is holding under his paw does look like a round glittering shield. This stunning piece will be sent with a full appraisal made out by a specialist in the field of antique and vintage jewelry He will be sent in a presentation box.
