An astonishing 1970s fully hand made custom design fine white diamond and solid 14K yellow gold modernist ring. This one of a kind ring is eye catching, vibrant and fun. The design is absolutely unique and to me is reminiscent of starburst design modernist pieces that were made in the 1950s. With this ring though the setting is highly asymmetric and far more sculptural. The asymmetry is very beautiful and captivating because the ring looks different every which way you view it. Each angle is beautiful and to me expresses an unrestrained creativity and pure passion. It's an entirely hand made piece. The face of the ring itself measures 3/4" long and 13/16" wide and rises 9/16" high off the finger when it is on the hand (19mm x 20mm x 14mm). In total it weighs 14.5 grams. There are 54 points of fine white diamonds set in this ring G color. The largest diamond weighs 26 points. Currently this ring is a size 4 1/2 US sizing. It can be resized. This is a superb example of fine modernist jewelry from the 1970s and is a rare collectors item to find for sale today. An appraisal shall accompany this item.
