Description

Table setting of Elkington's of Birmingham, one of the most important of the Midland silversmiths from the 19th century. Consisting of two, four branch candelabra and a central bowl stand (with replacement glass bowl). Fully hallmarked for 1887. Presented to the Lord Mayor of Birmingham on attaining his third term in office. The whole in neo-classical style with lions paw feet, gadrooning, anthemion and patera designs.
