Here we have an ancient Spherical Floriate Bird design gimbaled censer in silver dating to the Tang Dynasty 618 to 907 AD This
stunning ancient artifact is crafted with a hing to it opens into two
hemispheres, the bottom one has a gimbaled hemispherical holder for
burning incense so that regardless of angle this compartment always
stays parallel to the horizontal. The design is ornate with flowers and birds appearing top and a floriate design to the base of the censor. This
piece measures 2 3/16" in diameter approximately and the chain and
attachment to the censor measures approximately 8 7/8" in length (55mm,
225mm) Of incredible rarity indeed this genuine Tang Dynasty
artifact could grace the collection of any leading museum or exceptional
collection of Asian or Ancient Art. It is in good condition
being intact without repair. There is patina to the silver commensurate
