A rare pair of early Victorian 18K Gold Pearl and Precious Bone Earrings from Dieppe France. These darling original 19th Century hand carved earrings are in mint condition. Each carved bone drop is a beautiful mirror image of the other earring. This is a detail which you only see in fine quality jewelry. The carvings which would have been made in Dieppe, France are of a rose and lily bouquet. In the language of flowers these carvings sent the message "I love you so much you've made my life happy and complete". They are exceptionally romantic. This fine pair of earrings measure 2" long including the hooks and are 7/8" wide (50mm x 22mm). Together they weigh 5.17 grams. An exceptionally pretty pair of genuine 19th century earrings they are in perfect condition. There is some variation in color to the patina of the natural carvings which is to be expected for a genuine pair of earrings over 150 years old. An appraisal shall accompany this item. This appraisal has been made by a professional Gemologist and accredited Jewelry Appraiser who is a specialist in the field.
