Antique 9ct. Yellow gold cameo brooch. The cameo brooch is carved in fine relief of the Goddess of the Dawn. Mounted with a rope border and 9ct. Yellow gold polished frame. The brooch has a pin fastener with saftey chain. Circa 1880. Italian Cameo, English mount. Stamped 9ct. Eos, (Greek), Roman Aurora, in Greco-Roman mythology, the personification of the dawn. According to the Greek poet Hesiod's Theogony, she was the daughter of the Titan Hyperion and the Titaness Theia and sister of Helios, the sun god, and Selene, the moon goddess. Measuring 6cm x 5cm
