A spectacular custom made one of a kind 1950s museum quality natural untreated huge crystal opal and diamond ring hand made in platinum.

Central to this astonishing ring is a 6.66 carat crystal opal. Every color of the rainbow appears in splashes of neon color and flag of color appearing in spectacular flashes. The opal is colorless entirely colorless like the purest water and the colors appear across the whole cabochon with no dull areas at all - the patterns to be seen are exquisite, the colors intense with every color of the rainbow - the full spectrum of colors of light visible all the time. Beautiful too this opal is a perfect high dome symmetrical cabochon making it more valuable than a freeform opal of similar weight. The size of the opal is enormous for this very rare very fine gem quality natural untreated opal. Different types of light and lighting conditions show different patterns which move continuously from every angle, this opal is a constant source of amazement - it's miraculous to look at to say the least.

Every detail here is exquisite. There is intricate almost lacelike platinum details to the hand made gallery and basket which hold the precious untreated natural diamonds and exquisite natural untreated crystal opal. The setting is superb. The diamonds are absolutely white VS clarity F color superbly chosen and matched across the whole cluster with no expense spared. The workmanship is as good as it can possible get- few jewelers have the skill to make such a ring. It is exquisite, luxurious, feminine and unique.

This ring is marked 6.66 for the opal weight and 0.56 for the diamond weight. It is marked for platinum and of course testing confirms the same.

The total gem weight of the opal and diamonds is 7.22 carats.

Currently a size 7 1/4 US this ring is sizable.

This one of a kind ring is 3/4" long along the hand by 13/16" wide spanning the whole finger from side to side with color and sparkle. It rises 7/16" high off the finger (19mm x 20mm x 11mm).

The opal itself measures 16.4mm by 11.9mm by 6.7mm.

This vintage early mid century era opal engagement ring is in beautiful condition and is ready to gift or to wear. This ring would make a perfect choice for a special celebration or heirloom ring.
